G Pen Hydout 510 Cartridge Battery

The G Pen Hydout is a compact, discreet 510 cartridge battery with a magnetic mouthpiece cover that fully conceals your cartridge. As well as keeping it out of sight, the cover protects the cartridge from knocks and light exposure, while five voltage settings, a preheat function and a digital display give you full control over your oil.

Colours

Available in six colours: Black (standard edition) and Blue, Green, Pink, Purple and Red (translucent Retro edition). The two editions differ in how they activate and charge, as set out below.

Why Choose the G Pen Hydout?

The Hydout's magnetic cover makes it one of the most discreet ways to carry a cartridge: once it's on, the cartridge is completely hidden and shielded from light and knocks in a pocket or bag. Its five voltage settings give you plenty of choice within the range we recommend for our oils, and the display shows exactly which setting you're on. Choose the Black edition for a classic look with button controls, or a Retro colour if you'd prefer to simply inhale and see your oil level at a glance.

Caring for Your 510 Battery

These are general, basic care tips suitable for most 510 batteries. Your device manufacturer's own care instructions may differ, always refer to the instructions supplied with your device where the two don't match.

• Periodically unscrew the cartridge, even if you're not swapping it, cartridges can occasionally seize in the thread over time if left in place for long periods.
• Wipe the connection threads and centre pin with an IPA wipe every so often, oil residue and dust here can cause weak vapour production or a battery that won't fire properly.
• If your device has a preheat function, use it before each session, this helps the oil flow more smoothly and reduces strain on the battery and connection.
• Storing the device upright where possible helps prevent oil pooling into the mouthpiece, though there's no need to worry if this isn't always practical.
• Avoid extreme temperature and pressure changes (for example, a hot car or a flight), these can affect oil viscosity and lead to leaks.
• Don't overtighten the cartridge when attaching it, this can damage the seal and make it harder to remove later.
• Handle with care, avoid dropping or excessive shaking, which can disrupt internal seals.

For discreet, enclosed-cartridge devices like the G Pen Hydout: the cartridge sits inside a housing, and you inhale from the housing rather than the cartridge directly, so vapour can build up inside the compartment itself, not just around the connection. Wipe out the inside of the housing with an IPA wipe every so often to keep flavour clean and prevent residue building up.
