The Yocan Ziva 2.0 is a discreet 510 battery that holds your cartridge fully inside its body, and the latest evolution of the Yocan Ziva range. It adds a colour display and a choice of three activation modes to the enclosed design, along with fine voltage control and room for cartridges up to 2g.

If you're choosing between the Ziva 2.0 and the Yocan Ziva Pro, both keep the cartridge enclosed and run on a 650mAh battery, so the difference is in control and capacity. The Ziva 2.0 adds a colour screen, a puff counter and the choice of draw, button or hands-free activation, and it's designed to take larger cartridges up to 2g. The Ziva Pro is the simpler of the two, with auto-draw only. If you'd like the most flexibility in an enclosed design, the Ziva 2.0 is the one to choose.

Caring for Your 510 Battery

These are general, basic care tips suitable for most 510 batteries. Your device manufacturer's own care instructions may differ, always refer to the instructions supplied with your device where the two don't match.

• Periodically unscrew the cartridge, even if you're not swapping it, cartridges can occasionally seize in the thread over time if left in place for long periods.
• Wipe the connection threads and centre pin with an IPA wipe every so often, oil residue and dust here can cause weak vapour production or a battery that won't fire properly.
• If your device has a preheat function, use it before each session, this helps the oil flow more smoothly and reduces strain on the battery and connection.
• Storing the device upright where possible helps prevent oil pooling into the mouthpiece, though there's no need to worry if this isn't always practical.
• Avoid extreme temperature and pressure changes (for example, a hot car or a flight), these can affect oil viscosity and lead to leaks.
• Don't overtighten the cartridge when attaching it, this can damage the seal and make it harder to remove later.
• Handle with care, avoid dropping or excessive shaking, which can disrupt internal seals.

For discreet, enclosed-cartridge devices like the Ziva 2.0: the cartridge sits inside a housing, and you inhale from the housing rather than the cartridge directly, so vapour can build up inside the compartment itself, not just around the connection. Wipe out the inside of the housing with an IPA wipe every so often to keep flavour clean and prevent residue building up.
